Recently Amazon launched a new Blink Video Doorbell, Amazon’s very first doorbell at just $50 alongside the new Echo Show 15, Astro home robot, and new fitness tracker device called Halo View. The Blink Video Doorbell offers both wired or wire-free installation with two years of battery life, as well as two-way audio and chime alerts, and is also able to connect to and sound your existing in-home chime.
The new Blink is quick to set up; simply create an account in the Blink app, add the Blink device, select a wired or wire-free connection from the app, and follow the simple remaining instructions, and your Blink device will be ready.
Wire-free allows you to receive chime app notifications and motion alerts via the Blink app, while connected allows you to hear your current in-home chime.
The company claims that with an optional Blink subscription plan, you can record, save, and share events, or you can save them locally with a Blink Sync Module and USB flash drive without paying for a Blink subscription.
Blink Video Doorbell also features infrared night vision, so you’ll know when someone is standing in front of your door and be able to see them clearly in the day or night thanks to its 1080p HD video. You may also use the two-way audio functionality to communicate with them.
It has a battery life of up to two years and requires two AA lithium batteries, which are provided in the box. Blink Video Doorbell is available in two colors, allowing you to choose the one that best suits your home design and taste. Blink Video Doorbell is weatherproof, allowing you to defend your house no matter what the weather brings.

On the same day, Amazon also introduces two new devices: the Blink Floodlight Camera and the Blink Solar Panel Mount. The new Blink Floodlight Camera is a battery-powered LED mount that pairs with Blink Outdoor to create a smart floodlight security camera that generates 700 lumens of motion-activated lights.
The Blink Solar Panel Mount allows Blink Outdoor to receive a continuous charge from the sun, providing nonstop peace of mind. These two devices provide creative customization possibilities that let you view what’s going on in your house at any time and from any location.
